On my Flamborough to Bempton Cliffs walk I noticed this aberrant plant of some type of Mayweed approximately two inches across growing in a field sown for wild bird seed. Can anyone say what it is? @BSBIbotany
On my Sunday walk from Flamborough Lighthouse to Bempton Cliffs it wasn't all birds. I think that these broad leaved 'chunky' looking orchids are good for Northern Marsh except the second one which has thin spotted leaves possibly indicating some Common Spotted in its heritage.
These seem to be commoner in the north east than my own place of North Staffordshire. A Tree Sparrow with food in it's beak, so it has chicks somewhere which is nice.
@Hyosube I didn't see or hear a single one though some in the group did. Common as muck on Crete and Rhodes earlier in the year, we really must improve our environment.
Bempton Cliffs yesterday with RSPBNorthStaffs. Singing its little heart out, a rather grey looking Meadow Pipit looking at the long and straightish hind claw.
@Hyosube Well we are born to a expectedly higher privilege than 'normal' people. I do admit though that some of those owners of glass 'Bazooka's' do have a un-natural urge to get within three foot of any bird (except a real lady)๐คฃ
