@theblanketdog@Ausbones Yeah these kinds of posts with no other clinical context are too common and kind of annoying. Yet here I am commenting on it so maybe that’s the point haha.
@JeremyCruzWX Thanks! First time going to that spot. Has some good views facing north so bookmarked it for next time there’s a storm (whenever that may be).
@J_master_caster @Bermani22 ^I second this. I’ve found some good places just from browsing on Google Maps. Those little marshes/swamps on the roadside have also been good. Here’s one I found on maps during the October 2024 stop in Norfolk, CT
@Vincent_Ledvina Is it possible to estimate how long it’ll last? Debating taking a drive up to New Hampshire tonight from Connecticut. Thinking I might do it regardless since I just got my star tracker in the mail and want to give that a whirl.
@oldscarf1stweek Happy nurses week! Glad at least one of us wasn’t stuck working at HH during that January storm. The only reds and greens I saw that night were on the monitors.
@Vincent_Ledvina@doktornihil@keckobservatory Interesting that the guy claimed to have seen it with the naked eye albeit less intense, and only on the second night when he would have been actively looking for it. But I know I’ve tricked myself into thinking I’m looking at the Aurora when it wasn’t there.
@Vincent_Ledvina Been lucky to see to see bright colors with my own eyes a few times, but also find it cool in a weird way when just the cameras can pick them up, because those particles and wavelengths are still there. A reminder that there is so much more around us than what our senses detect
