@JackIllustrated@SloSHO I know they return a lot, but history isn’t on their side. Since the move up to D1, they have yet to follow up a playoff appearance with a winning season the following year, let alone a consecutive playoff appearance. This might be the year for it, but 2018 and 2022 cast doubt.
@gojacksdallas Given the fan interest at some MVFC schools (NDSU, MSU, etc.) about moving FBS and schools like WIU leaving to the OVC, what are his thoughts on how Saluki nation feels about the Valley as a long term home for their football program?
Dan, even more than your thoughts on the UFO/UAP hearings, I really want to know your thoughts on Colorado moving back to the Big 12. Both topics seemed equally unbelievable just a year or two ago.
Many of you have been asking my thoughts on the UFO/UAP congressional hearings. So I wrote a piece about it. Here it is if you want to read it (free of course).

@JackIllustrated Overnight tailgating/RV lots that open Friday afternoon. Idaho does it really well and I think they even open up theirs on Thursday. Good blueprint to follow. @Chris_P_Hammond would know more.
@argusmattz @GoJacksFB I told my buddy as we were driving home that someone needs to write a book about this. It’s not often you find a guy who stays in one location for three decades to accomplish one goal. It was a storybook ending to a very slow build up of momentum over the last 20 years.
@JackIllustrated I’d also add, if we are able to win on Saturday, the same season ticket holders who have renewed their tickets for each of these playoff games should go to the front of the line for Frisco tickets from the school. Reward your fans that show up.
@JackIllustrated I just don’t think this state cares about college football enough for it to ever be a priority when attending the game is the slightest bit inconvenient.
@JackIllustrated And yes, Brookings is smaller than Bozeman and Missoula. But we are one hour away from a city twice the size of the largest city in Montana and we live in a more densely populated area of the country. We are nearly giving away tickets. We have been a playoff team for a decade.
@johngaskins981 @argusmattz I find it funny that we have a debate every year about the state basketball tournaments being in different cities, while everyone seems to enjoy having all of the football championships in one location over one weekend. I’m not advocating one over the over. Just an observation.
@johngaskins981 @argusmattz If Bob gets let go after this season, what’s next for USD? You hire a coach in 2015 with 200+ wins and two D2 national titles. In year 7, this is where you are. If he can’t win in Vermillion, who can? And who’s going to want that job when a guy like that can’t win there?
@mltollefson Highly recommend reading Cadillac Desert. You start to realize that those western cities have been artificially propped up by large water projects on the Colorado that were miscalculated from the start. There’s a reason the SW was the last area of the lower 48 to be settled.
@SloSHO I just moved back to Brookings and the liquor store here has it. Most liquor stores I’ve been to will have it or Russel Reserve, which is similar. FYI, the Kirkland signature bourbon at Costco isn’t bad either and it’s usually a great price.
@kylorEPH@ItsThumper76@matthewfraase The MSU loss wasn’t a blowout. It was tied going into the 4th, MSU scored 2 touchdowns to seal it. It was a competitive game and MSU pulled away. For the purposes of your argument, calling that game a blowout like the others you have listed is disingenuous.
@feldermanly@SloSHO I’d also like to see designated overnight RV lots that open Friday night through Sunday morning. We have RV designated lots now, but no overnight. Big motor homes and buses make the tailgate scene better. Take one lot and allow it as an overnight first come first serve.
