@caulmick@MaryCarolanIT I remember Ashe when he was a teacher in Maynooth. Very quick to take the moral high ground and expect accountability from those under his supervision. I hope the law will apply the same standards the likes of Ashe demanded of others.
@BBCArchive Hello.
I was wondering if you have in your archives a copy of the Russell Harty show from approx late November 1982? If featured Jack Douglas doing a testcard parody and I think Carole Hersee was on the episode as well.
Thanks in advance.
@winty1000@MickPuck Always wondered EXACTLY Les got the shock. There was urban myth he grabbed unearthed mic with wet hands. apparently idiots at the front knocked mic stand over and the earth wire got damaged. The roadies didn't realise, and Leslie grabbed the mic while holding his guitar strings.
@MickPuck@winty1000 For some people to refer to the Waterboys as "pampered pop stars" was pathetic. I don't think the Waterboys ever behaved in a pampered manner, and if any of those high horse types actually were there for the band, they might've known that The Waterboys are more than a "pop" band.
We have made an absolute mess of this:
Please don't tell me it's just vaccine delays
We have made bad choices and placed bad bets
J&J won't be here until May
Which in reality means Q2 is written off too, unless deliveries dramatically change

I'm an English author based in Cambridge. I write predominantly #thrillers & #mysteries. My 2nd book, Sleeping Sickness, is out now. Usually, I'd be available for signings, events, etc. Right now, I can still do interviews, podcasts, Q&A... via email, social media, zoom & so on.
So pleased that the Open Access version of "A Man of Peace: Writings inspired by the Maynooth University Ken Saro-Wiwa Collection" is now available https://t.co/aMdh23MnNU

If Dara Calleary and Phil Hogan don't resign for attending a gathering of 80 members of the Oireachtas Golf Society the government can't even try to justify giving Gardaí powers to enter your house without a warrant for having six people over #golfgate
