Trump on Canada: "We're taking them on ... you saw the Lake Ontario. People though I was kidding, but maybe I wasn't. Because the last one you saw was the Gulf of Mexico. It's Gulf of America. So now we have a gulf and a lake. It's very simple ... it's time to teach Canada you can't do this anymore."

@JohnTCross2@RepTimKennedy Were Cdns stabbing the USA in the back when they:
A) fought to liberate Alaskan islands from Japanese in WW2?
B) fought in Korea?
C) smuggled US diplomats out of Iran in 1979?
D) fought in First Gulf War?
E) took in stranded passengers on 9/11?
F) fought in Afghanistan?
...
@Generation4580@SeanTrende Nothkng "good & fair" about a deal that, among other things:
(a) destroys our auto & steel industries,
(b) gives the US a veto over who we can trade with,
(c) gives the US the right of first refusal over our critical minerals, and
(d) gives the US the right to rip it up at will.
@lnjbwtz@ashatku Speaking of taking for granted, the US has been buying Cdn oil at below world prices for decades. Also, we can talk about free trade in agriculture & forestry when the US ends its massive subsidies to farmers and iits grants & indirect subsidies to softwood lumber companies.
@ashatku Canada, Mexico & the USA have a "free trade" agreement (which Trump said was the best deal ever) until the USA reneged on it and started imposing unjustified tariffs.
Dear Canadians, always remember that when a foreign nation starts a trade war by imposing tariffs against you, it's because its workers can't compete against yours in a free market.
@Bobunapologetic@NewWestSandy You're right. You & the other 15% of rural Albertans addicted to grievance-culture don't share the same values of the rest of Albertans & Canadians.
