This has come up more times that I can count, so let’s just put it to rest already.

Yes, one of the largest donors to Trump’s campaign has also made a very large donation to the PAC supporting @RobertFKennedyJr, and his name is Timothy Mellon.

Some people seem to think this means that Kennedy is in bed with MAGA, but nothing can be further from the truth.

That being said, Kennedy and Trump do have something in common … they want to see the trainwreck at our southern border repaired. If you’re not aware of what’s happening there, I highly recommend that you watch RFK Jr’s Midnight at the Border mini documentary.

Timothy Mellon is an extraordinarily wealthy individual who feels strongly about securing our border. In 2010, he contributed $1.5 million to support Arizona's legal defense fund, which at the time was known as the most comprehensive and stringent law on anti-illegal immigration in the U.S. And in 2021, he donated $53.1 million in stock to the State of Texas to pay for construction of walls along the US-Mexico border.

The southern border of our country is a disaster. From @RobertFKennedy Jr’s campaign website:

Bear in mind that many donors (individuals and corporations) donate to both major political parties. It’s how they ensure that their ‘needs’ are met and that their lobbying efforts are ‘non-partisan’.

Yes, Timothy Mellon, has donated to the far Right and to RFK Jr., but let's not oversimplify and make up stories by trying to read between the lines when opposing sides are clearly trying to tell us what to believe.

Before leaping to conclusions, seek the truth. We are all complex creatures that can’t always be painted black or white, and captured in a checkbox on a ballot. It's about the full picture, not just a snapshot or headline.

This book is a practice in experimental metaphysics. It is the place where I stand up and declare: "I believe in a once and future god." This is how the experiment begins. For a long time now, almost 20 years, I have had the vision of writing a book with the title "A Once and Future God." The phrase has been a placeholder for something that has been working in me, at a deep, cellular level, and has yet to surface up into the shallows of the mind where this something, long incubating, can be dressed up in proper language. It's like the invisible man, who needs clothes in order to be seen. The practice I am starting entails making this transformation from the "state of believing" -- of which I am strongly aware, to the "statements of beliefs" -- of which I hardly know anything.

So Prime Minister @NarendraModi will inaugurate the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22nd and the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi on February 14th. I expect elections to be called very soon thereafter.

The message is clear. In 2009, Mr Modi was sold to the Indian electorate as the avatar of economic development, the CEO of Gujarat Inc., who would bring development to all Indians. In 2019, with that narrative collapsing in the wake of the disastrous demonetisation, the Pulwama terrorist attack gave Mr Modi the opportunity to convert the general election into a national security election. In 2024, it is clear the BJP will now revert to its core message and offer Narendra Modi to the nation as a Hindu Hriday Samrat.

All of this begs the question: what happened to achhe din? What happened to 2 crore jobs a year? What happened to economic growth that would benefit the lower rungs of the socio-economic ladder? What happened to putting disposable income into the pockets and bank accounts of every Indian? These questions will have to be debated in an election that is shaping up to be Hindutva versus popular welfare.
