Well, I'm not retired, but the nice thing with a consulting practice is I can choose my own speed. But yes, it's the peace of not being near I-95 or the beltway that is the best. The mornings and evenings here are so quiet. The ambient noise is all but zero. Just an occasional helicopter coming in/out of MCAS New River. I'm learning to spot their 4 different aircraft by sound. (A Sea Stallion sounds a LOT different than an Osprey or Apache.)
