#CHELL2029 NYC MAYOR. NYPD Chief of Dept. (Ret). CEO of Harlem Ridge Adv. “Trusted NYC voice with operational experience and leadership credibility.” 🇺🇸💪
I’m a registered Independent—no party, no labels.
Right down the middle. Call it purple if you want.
To me, it’s simple: what’s right is right, and what’s wrong is wrong.
I’m retired. I live a simple life. I don’t have to do this.
But I love this city—and I gave nearly 32 years to it.
So what’s another 8 if it means helping course-correct?
Maybe this is a Hail Mary. I’m a wildcard.
But I’ve got nothing to lose—and everything to gain for this great metropolis NYC.
I won’t be controlled.
I don’t subscribe to the status quo or political norms.
That’s part of how we got here.
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
And there’s never a wrong time to do the right thing.

Half of those 600 will be lost by the next month and the rest the month after that. The mayor could care less about the NYPD and Public Safety as a whole. Utopia, for his socialist comrades that he leads, no jails and no police.
He is just checking the box on this one. Invest in 5000k more cops, talk with the governor about Pension System Tier 2A and give the cops a raise. Then I will be impressed.
@NYCMayor@NYCCouncil@GovKathyHochul@NYCPBA@NYPDPC
During this week’s hearing, NYPD testified it will increase headcount by nearly 600 cops. As Chair of the Public Safety Committee, I am in strong support. My opening statement:
Here is one for you. I was the only guy (Chief of Patrol – 2023) who had a verbal battle with City Hall lawyers and a judge over this ridiculous decision. I basically said the following during a conference call while everyone else sat silent:
"You want us to give protesters the streets (Level 1) all the time, but then have my cops fight to push them back onto the sidewalk, creating physical confrontations. That's ridiculous and will get people physically hurt." The female judge responded with nonsense and I clearly told her I'm on the record as a HARD NO.
The problem was that the process was kept quiet, and we were not involved until it was basically too late. The old NYPD Legal Bureau sold us out, in my opinion.
The mayor should not have signed off on that one, and I clearly think he was given misleading information about it.
@NYPDnews@NYCPBA@sbanypd@lbanypd@NYCPDDEA
Please let NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Legal Matters Michael Gerber know, NOTHING good came out of the protest settlement agreement, it weakened Public Safety in NYC.
To the @Gothamist editor and @samanthaellimax — you should not mislead the public because of your misguided ideologies and inadequate reporting. Take a look, and feel free, Samantha, to re-share your thoughts.
On Feb. 25, 2025, Rhamell Burke was “outstretched on multiple train seats on a southbound C train in Brooklyn.” He was arrested with a large knife and for resisting arrest by fighting the police.
Now, 10 weeks later, he murdered a 76-year-old father — everyone’s dad and grandfather in New York City. Mr. Falzone - RIP.
You get the point. Now rewrite this article correctly and ask those lawmakers you cited what is “cruel” and “problematic.”
Let NYC decide — not Gothamist.

“#Chell2029” “ Fake News”
This is why Tiffany Cabán has always been considered by the NYPD to be the #1 village idiot on the City Council.
You wanted evidence that “outstretched” enforcement and other low-level arrests help keep New Yorkers safe. Here it is.
In 2025, more than 70% of the people who would otherwise have been eligible for a summons in the subway were instead arrested because they were wanted by law enforcement for a variety of crimes, including violent ones.
For example, in case you’ve forgotten:
The savage who pushed 76-year-old retired teacher Ross Balkin to his death had been arrested just weeks earlier during an “outstretched” enforcement stop for possessing a knife, narcotics, and for resisting arrest.
He should have been in jail, but one of our woke judges let him out to kill. Your bail reform friends.
Tiffany, you never fail to demonstrate your pure stupidity when given the opportunity.
Not to mention that, in a battle of wits with the Police Commissioner, you are clearly an unarmed opponent.
@tiffany_caban@NYPDnews@NYPDPC@NYCCouncil
Why would our Mayor support someone who has repeatedly shown hostility toward the police?
I’ll tell you why: because he shares that same disregard for the NYPD and everything it stands for.
The NYC DSA has a plan. Don’t be fooled by it—or by its most powerful enabler, the Mayor.
And let’s be honest: hiring 600 new officers is mostly optics. With retirements and attrition, a large portion of those positions will disappear almost as quickly as they’re filled.
New Yorkers deserve real public safety solutions, not political theater.
Don’t be fooled, NYC.
@NYCMayor @samraskin @NYCCouncil
This is, in many ways, a consequence of New York’s 2020 bail reform law.
The biggest problem with the current system is not the reform itself, but how some judges are applying it. In too many cases, judges are releasing repeat offenders back into the community despite clear public safety concerns.
Their ideology has, at times, taken precedence over sound judicial judgment. Judges are reluctant to impose detention because they fear being viewed as overly punitive or because of political pressures surrounding criminal justice reform. -FACTS
Cowards who take the easy way out and opt for the biggest scam and insult to NYC citizens- “Supervised Release”.
People are dying over judges failure to uphold their oath.

The Office of Community Safety was announced just 12 days after the Gracie Mansion terrorist attack, at a time when the administration was facing intense scrutiny over its handling of public safety.
The mayor campaigned on a transformational public-safety alternative, but the rollout appears far smaller than advertised. Despite a budget exceeding $200 million across related initiatives, the Office itself launched with a minimal staff footprint and limited operational authority.
That raises an obvious question: was this a carefully planned public-safety strategy, or a political response designed to change the conversation after a major security failure?
It’s clear Speaker Menin is speechless about this waste of money and zero coordination with the NYPD. The Police Commisioner is doing her best not to embarrass city hall with her answers.
This office is not needed and a complete waste of time, money and resources.
@NYCMayor@samraskinz@NYPDPC@SpeakerMenin
SCARY: This is what NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani wants to use police pension money for, a 220 Million Dollar program that was sold as “taking responsibility away from the NYPD” yet they haven’t even met with the NYPD……….
@katie_honan@HenryRosoff@NYPDPC Are you saying the 3.2 Billion the mayor found for agency savings is wrong? Call Mark Levin to adjust the 7B debt we are starting with for fiscal 2028.
@joeanuta@C_Sommerfeldt Joe - now let’s find out the OT budget for the NYPD fiscal 2027 and see how it was most likely under budgeted for fake savings. If history repeats itself.
The biggest loser today was our Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Another rookie error.
So many New Yorkers of Jewish heritage and others came together on a beautiful Sunday to just have a pleasant day. To enjoy the parade.
The Mayor chose to play politics and appease his DSA base who hates Jews and Israel as a whole.
Well- it did not work. Congrats to NYC today, congrats to PC Tisch and her team, and all the people who attended. There is still hope.
