@BaxterWilliams_@_ChristIsLord Atheism is more that a deity is not necessary for the creation or operation of the universe or relevant as a source of moral authority. On that basis, I chose Theist. Also God that dies isn't an unmoved mover so probably doesn't qualify as big G god.
@Google did you know that the manage your current domains link and manage domain button on https://t.co/piMyjVKyjE is broken ? Clicking on either simply takes me back to the https://t.co/piMyjVKyjE page. I know you're transitioning, but I should be able to manage what have.
@Ember421 Has anyone recently questioned the environmental damage and social disruption caused by building new hydroelectric dams, or the safety record of the ones that have been around for the last century ?
@Aegtema @StellarGrips@gm_skeptic Democracy isn’t built on consensus (though it’s a nice aim), but rather on equal input into a rules based decision making process by the enfranchised. What arises out of that is negotiation and compromise, but rarely consensus.
@DaveIrving99 People say witches are real, and they have an alliance with the dark powers of evil. If she is poisoning children is it possible that she is one of them ? Why is the media totally silent on this ? Have they been compromised by back magic ? #justasking
@politicosdaily@DavidCo11014507@sdc_core1@wartranslated 8th in 2022 unless you have more recent data https://t.co/uGqcYps5Ux
IMF had Russian GDP growth in 2023 at 0.3% so it seems unlikely they’ve made significant progress since then.
@Ron4California@ScottC20012@sjpunome@ActualCosmos @GenMhayden the “declassified by making them part of his personal effects” seems weak, even Barr said so, outside of that the obstruction charges seem pretty solid. Still innocent till proven guilty, that’s why we have courts and juries to determine this stuff.
@ScottC20012@Ron4California@sjpunome @GenMhayden The grand jury was sufficiently convinced that the case was strong that he is is being tried for those crimes. Until the trial is done, he is innocent, after the trial he may be found guilty and go to jail for a long time. Seems simple .. no ?
@ScottC20012@Ron4California@sjpunome @GenMhayden Yea, but he isn’t the president any more, and the case is that 1.) he didn’t declassify the material before he took it. 2.) he didn’t return the stuff he was asked to but said that he did (ie he lied to the police) 3. He tried to hide evidence (illegal without any other reason)
@QuixoticQuant In what way is hydro a non-variable renewable? Likewise are there any biomass generators in Oz ? Feels like an excuse to keep at least 10% gas generation.
@SethLargo That’s because they’re still not sure about Schrödingers ethics of making cats hungry just because he was uncertain if they’d salivate to a bell
@__bbak@rigtigfedmis@OskaArcher@duhonedd@Greenpeace And that’s just the current grid portion, if you throw in the rest (eg industrial heat) of our primary energy requirements you’ll need to push that up by about a factor of five depending on how efficiently you’re able to convert energy from one form to another
