@JeromeAdamsMD While I may pause my Taco Bell visits, I will never give them up. Can actually make healthy choices there - portions too. And they pulled stuff before recall. TB forever. 🤣
@jewstein3000 During my moms dementia progression, I learned polite persistence with things. Learned so much about UTIs and knew when, even with dementia, things were “off”. Those around them all the time know things too…..
@JeromeAdamsMD That is the madness. You read some of the health initiatives and they make total sense. But then the preventable diseases with systems already in place being dismantled negates the positive initiatives. It is the “cut off your nose to spite your face”
@joypcoffee I grew sunflowers one year on the side of my house. Totally unaware of hiw big they get and then how one day they just “poof” and seeds all over. Was pretty cool after the initial shock!
@JeromeAdamsMD Agree completely. Telehealth has been so helpful to manage chronic conditions. But if you dont have broadband, a huge challenge. How many people avoid regular checkins with medical providers due to these barriers? Let’s do this!
@christress You said it perfectly. Taco Bell was my emotional support tool during family crisis. You can actually make some healthy portion and nutritional choices there. Now I drive by with a tear in my eye. This has to end soon!
@JeromeAdamsMD I never thought of the local farm idea. Thank you for that.
These things are hard to prevent completely but the containment/identification process we have lost with “cuts” is maddening.
@AdamKinzinger They really think we are stupid. Ever had a conversation with a hospitalized 80+ year old? Even best of health it is a jarring experience for them. Sure, let’s chat about foreign policy while you recover from CPR chest cracks. BS
