@weare_138 So when faced with the knowledge that most Israelis are in fact descended from refugees from Middle Eastern countries, how do you resolve your cognitive dissonance?
@trilobe2ground@micha_atx You’re right. They should’ve filmed themselves massacring unarmed civilians, kidnapping babies, and beheading random Thai people with garden hoes
@Tamer_Alnoaizy And thus begun the ancient Palestinian cultural tradition of waging war, losing, and crying inconsolably about it while waging another losing war
@00001_Agent@arash_tehran@mostmodest2 Nope. He specifically condemns Israel by name and does not even once mention the people responsible for waging the war in the first place.
A single days worth of Jew-killing at Treblinka killed several times the total number of LGBT victims of the Holocaust.
There’s been an enormous left wing push to decenter Jews from the holocaust because the ideological implications of such a vast apparatus of killing, the likes of which have never been seen before or since, having been built basically specifically for Jews is problematic for them.
They want Nazism to be an amorphous label they can attach to their opponents to mark them for violence. But that’s not what it was. Nazis are first and foremost obsessed with the idea of the Jew as the source of all earthly evil which must be snuffed out.
Any person who is hostile to Jews is objectively closer to a Nazi than someone who isn’t, no matter what their other beliefs are.
That’s very inconvenient for leftists.
@GazaReality@jacksonhinkle Yup! Israel has good intelligence that this development was a hotbed of Hamas activity. It evacuated all residents and blew it up, as it should have. Cry about it more maybe your tears will water the earth and they’ll sprout up again like weeds
@TPrincato Ok. You’re saying your passionate obsession with Israelis is secondary to your passionate obsession with Palestinians. Is there something particular about Palestinians, as you understand them, that has made them objects of obsessive fixation for you? Trying to understand better
@iamjourjean because you have a subscription to Jewish Insider, could you summarize the article for us who would like context before formulating glib remarks?
@realhansard Except it was previously “theirs.” They were living on British land, and before that they were living on Ottoman land. Also, no shit Arab colonizers would be “mad” that the returning indigenous diaspora would have the balls to assert equal right to self-determination
@poorGurgi@arash_tehran Explain. When they were watching videos of unarmed men women and children being massacred and kidnapped, and defended it, they were heroes? Not sure I follow your moral reasoning hear but I’m sure you can explain it
