@KyriakosLaconas@1drcole Wether we put tariffs or not, their own tariffs increase their costs. Of course, with tariffs so high, they won't get paid as business will just move, meaning hurt jobs on our side.
@ereguly@DonaldTrump Sadly those plants are all going to die, and Canada will have to transition to imports only on cars. Cheaper prices and more inexpensive models, at the expense of tons of Ontario jobs.
@jackunheard The only credible threat to Canada is the USA. So keep protecting Canada from yourself, and patting yourself on the back for it. Or you could do like the majority of countries in the world and not attack other people.
@DECO22155891@Roman_Baber@MarkJCarney Of course he lies, it's in the job description of every politician. If you don't expect some lies, you are a fool. Difference between lies and omiting information and creating a whole fucking alternative universe though...
@Cal1J@starcraftdiva@mustangmadd "The Manhattan Project was officially led by the United States in collaboration with the United Kingdom and Canada."
You're welcome for the big bombs we helped you make!
@NTDPlus_ But is the recall about a problem with the label, as they claim, or something much worse they are hiding? If it was just the label, and only on 21k bags, sure they could have dealt with it without the recall...
@HenriAGS Canada is a party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and has never possessed its own nuclear weapons. It relies on the U.S. nuclear umbrella through NATO and NORAD for collective defense. The US would not want nukes 100 miles from its least defended border.
@Oldhat1970@cherrypicker68@john_balde12345@swd2 Do research before you post... AI can be your friend.
"So in a head-to-head on the US-Canada border, Canada did more in terms of dedicated new spending, personnel commitments, and hardware specifically for that frontier."
All for a drug problem that was never there.
@xnoesbueno@FoodProfessor@BobbyBGood Fair and equitable? Generous? Those were a stretch even in 2018 when CUSMA was signed. If you go with fair market access for a sizeable amount of concessions, sure. but with Trump 2.0? Not even close. No country has threatened Canada as much as Trump has in the past 2 centuries
@hardyrenos@LanDawg05 Americans havenโt fought a major war on the continental United States since the Civil War more than 160 years ago. You donโt realise how bad it would be, for both sides.
When it goes beyond just bombing someone far from home, and only soldiers seing combat, war is not the same.
@Logically_JC Wars are only ever good for a very small amount of people. Arms dealers, a few corporations and outsiders. Everyone else loses, even the "winners".
@Martyupnorth Im in Quebec, and yes, Alberta gets shafted every time. Quebec needs equalization because its run by a bunch of green idiots. The West should get to keep more, especially because they constantly help the East be stupid. If only Quebec could learn to invest and make some money...
