Premier Chris Minns promised to keep New South Wales safe, but a horrific ten-hour stretch on Saturday saw three women allegedly killed in Wagga Wagga, Bondi Beach, and Mole River.

While Police Deputy Commissioner Peter McKenna called it a tragic weekend, official BOCSAR crime figures expose a far more disturbing reality under Labor governance.

State murder counts have exploded by 55% since Minns took office, pushing murders to their highest peak in a decade.

Even worse, domestic violence homicides hit a 12-year high, with female victims tripling and women killed by family members more than doubling.

Despite launching a touted $245.6 million package, Chris Minns completely left senior women out of the announcement, even as abuse reports involving older people jumped 108% in five years.

Two of Saturday's victims were aged 70 and 90.

God, this is the dumbest speech I have ever heard.

The reason why people hate politicians is because they are both extremely arrogant AND retarded.

Peter starts off his speech by lamenting 'popular' politics and saying that mainstream politicians shouldn't engage in a race to the bottom on cutting immigration even though, as he admits, that is what the people want.

In his worldview, him and his ilk are above the people.

Everything he then proceeds to say is simply wrong. He has a totally incorrect model of the world because he understands neither macroeconomics nor technology.

1. Aging Demographics

Yes, Australia has an aging population, and yes, ceteris paribus this would be a problem.

But the solution is not more migration, the solution is accelerating rollouts of humanoids in age care, funding biotech and longevity solutions, etc. AI and robotics combined will fix this problem entirely.

2. Jobs

Peter thinks that we need migrants because they are 'skilled' workers that contribute to the economy... Really bro?

The Tesla Cybercab is now on roads in the US (fully autonomous), Tesla Optimus Humanoid is in development, Silicon Valley is on the verge of AGI that will wipe out god knows how many white collar workers... And here you are talking about importing migrants in meatspace that are in fact not even skilled today, and certainly will not have a job in the world of tomorrow.

You're importing future poverty and civil unrest because they'll be unemployed and forced into the welfare line, making the other points you make about the 'budget problem' even worse.

3. Productivity

Migration doesn't contribute to productivity any more so than normal workers.

In fact, intuitively it is actually the opposite.

You've imported so many migrants that people look around and question why TF they should work when a dogbox costs a million bucks, it takes several months to get a job, and their groceries are more expensive every week.

Then on top of that the government steals more of their money every year through currency debasement and taxation policies that allocate it to migrants and fraudulent NDIS programs.

Who in their right mind would want to be productive in that environment?

4. Research

Peter claims international students are important because they provide fees for universities, who in turn do valuable research using that money.

What a load of shit.

Firstly, the people rorting these programs aren't doing the research, secondly the universities run shit business models with all the money going to administrators not researchers, and thirdly we are moving into a world where the more money you spend on compute allocated to AI the more applied research benefits you receive.

You don't need many humans at all for this anymore, except a select few 'verifiers' and AI experts.

Capital allocated to compute is now all that matters.

Everything this guy says in his speech is not only wrong, but completely backwards.

People like this were educated once decades ago, never reexamined their view of the world, and never questioned why they believe what they believe.

He probably read one fkn textbook about Keynesian economics and extrapolated it for the next three decades. NPC-brained. GPT-2 level intelligence pre-trained on sloppy data.

Guys like this have zero understating of technology, particularly AI.

They certainly don't understand how AI will impact the existing macroeconomic system, because they understand neither technology nor the economy.

Having these people lecture everyone else during the most important time period in human history - the dawn of the Age of Intelligence - is a joke.

They must all step aside and let people who actually understand what I just said above lead from the front.

They are simply wrong, and deranged.

BREAKING: An Iraqi national, 23, has been given a slap on the wrist for 16 child abuse material charges, including on infants and toddlers.

Abdullah Shafiq, a Flinders University student and charity youth group volunteer, pleaded guilty to producing, possessing and spreading child abuse material of infants, toddlers and children under 10.

Judge Telfer found “special circumstance”

The judge noted his youth, no priors and “life stresses”, the “transition from adolescence to adulthood”.

The judge also said his Muslim religious upbringing made him “taboo seeking”.

“Teenage porn” that somehow became just “poor choices”.

Seemingly forgetting that he is 23 years old.

She even said his production charges “involved no real victims” because they were just “filthy online chats”.

The possession and dissemination charges did.

Those were real children being abused.

The sentence? Just 2 years 3 months.

With his non parole already backdated.

Shafiq will be eligible for parole from 30 April 2027.

That is not justice, this is a court making excuses for 16 child abuse offences with therapy speak and then waving him toward the exit.

If this is what “special circumstances” looks like in South Australia, the whole judicial system needs a complete overhaul and a thorough investigation into these outrageous decisions.
