Sydney Gongogye.
I have been trying to process the sad stories sorrounding death of our brother Sydney.
It is very unfortunate to lose such a young promising life to mob justice.
My first encounter with the late was in 2019 when he joined @Makerere to do software engineering and during those orientation weeks at mitchell Hall we learnt that he was from Namilyango College and Kings College Budo for O and A level respectively.
During his stay in the University, he was part of the Rugby team, descent member of mitchelll Hall and his college and to suffer such a disgraceful death is not only painful but also unacceptable.
Killing a young father and ophaning a child and widowing a young Woman acting on half baked information is unacceptable.
We are requesting the authorities to investigate this matter to the core and bring people who ended a life full of promise to an abrupt end to book.
Rest in Peace Sydney Gongodyo.
@Job14thierry@Jhon_Okiria@Buzeki_Sharifah Do you mean we can continue living a reckless unregulated industry because you are creating jobs?
By the way, the onset of the bodaboda industry was the cause of the decline of many other industries and sectors like agriculture and livestock as well as major industries
. @KCCAUG recognizes the urgent need to regulate the transport industry, particularly the operations of boda bodas, which have increasingly become a road safety risk. The Authority Council has already approved the Transport Bill, and it is now progressing through the necessary approval levels to be enacted as a Transport Ordinance.
This ordinance will provide a clear legal framework to guide the regulation of the industry, ensuring safer roads, orderly operations, and improved public safety across the city.
If the promotion of national unity, peace, & stability remain core values of the PLU, & if the PLU continues to uphold social harmony, then the statement made by Frank Gasumba, renders him unfit to serve on the CC. Or, it warrants disciplinary action.
