@theblockspot I'd say this is a result of talent dev difference relative to the rest of world. It's not apathy or lack of talent.

For the US to win a WC in the future we need to make it so kids grow up dreaming "USMNT" instead of just NFL/NBA.
Similar to Olympics in a lot of ways.

We saw a Ruski line of Trenin - Yurov - Tarasenko work, just have to trust Dani in the dot & T6 and you can easily see a KHL style of play to dazzle the opps

2) Understandably, GMs are saying "if player X is leaving I want Y in return so I don't completely tank my roster" which Billy won't do anyways
