A Georgia Weapons Carry License (WCL) is not required to legally carry or purchase a handgun, long gun, or knife in the state. However, the license remains valuable for traveling out of state through firearm reciprocity and to expedite firearm purchases at licensed dealers as required under § 16-11-126, § 16-11-129, and § 16-11-136. If the individual was at a church or school, that is still illegal under the zero tolerance bans. But why would I know this as a responsible gun owner arguing with the internet...
@Professor_Goat_@ATL_SCOOP Georgia is an open carry state. He's legally allowed to walk around with a machete from Home Depot that anyone is allowed to have. This isn't Europe.
