@paulhardman @visualisingdata Yes definitely. I know the feeling - I gave up after a few hours, feeling that it would always be a frustrating and impoverished experience compared to Alteryx. But I stuck with it and with these core nodes I can do pretty much anything I need to. It just takes a little time

@undertheraedar How do you render each frame in QGIS? I'm new to it, and can happily compile pngs. I can create vectors with timestamps to animate the lines, but unsure how to render them in QGIS

@townsendoutdoor @SamsungMobile Thank you for sharing. Like you, I resent having to bring a USB power bank when a spare battery is so much smaller and lighter. For touchscreen with thick gloves I find a small cheap stylus pen attached to my jacket zip is invaluable. If anything it's more accurate than fingers!

Nipped up Glen Feshie and River Eidart the other day, hoping to find @townsendoutdoor's elusive pack and poles. No sign I'm afraid, but we did find some stunning pine and aspen, not to mention heaps of juniper, birch, rowan and willow.
