If it goes down a drain - the residue of industrial, commercial, and residential activity (think about what we flush down drains) - it is concentrated in sewage sludge "Biosolids." It is made airborne during farm activity. Breathe deep! #BanBiosolids
NEVER use a "fertilizer" made from toxic sewage sludge and labeled as Biosolids or "beneficial nutrient." These products are insufficiently treated and retain 100% of the toxins found in concentrated sewage sludge. This is a horrible scam. #BanBiosolids
PFAS-laden biosolids in Texas are poisoning farms. I am honored to have worked with the amazing investigators and farmers in Johnson County, TX on this case.
We need justice now.
No more PFAS-laden biosolids on farms.

@pfoaprojectny1@BanPlasticTurf There is no such thing as "overly broad restrictions on #Pfas." When a toxin and carcinogen has to be measured in PPT, is "forever", and is everywhere it MUST be broadly restricted! #BanBiosolids
@libsoftiktok Did Republicans make yours a sanctuary city? It was Biden who opened the border. Border states can't absorb them all. You asked for them.
As if #PFAS contaminated mothers needed yet another worry about breastfeeding their babies... "this impact was significantly more pronounced in those mothers whose offspring later developed autoimmune/inflammatory diseases"

Considering the toxins in Sewage Sludge, why do they continue to call it a "beneficial nutrient rich fertilizer?" If you add sugar to rat poison would you call it candy? #BanBiosolids
PFAS is the canary in the coal mine. It is everywhere and it is hard to deconstruct. If methods prove to eliminate it, then the rest of the nasties are likely eliminated, too. Biosolids are a catastrophe of chemicals. #BanBiosolids
Biosolids=Poison. Forever chemicals are only the tip of the sludgeberg. Thousands of toxins, human pathogens, hormones, carcinogens, and other nasty contaminants are present in it. If it goes down a drain, it is in sludge. #BanBiosolids
@bennettpeer I wonder what substitute "Kissin' cousin" they use in their product. With thousands of untested versions out there, who knows? Maybe only the shadow knows.
1. Chemical companies have spent more than $100 million over 3 years to block legislation & regulation of "forever chemicals," known as PFAS
45% of tap water in the country contains PFAS
PFAS exposure is linked to serious health risks, including cancer and fertility issues
