Hello, new people following me. Nice to be marginally aware of your shadowy digital presence!
My purpose here is mainly to promote cool, high quality games being made by small indies (including my own when I finally drag it into the light of day.)
Please feel free to start discussions about the games I post, or suggest games you think are worth while. (Even your own! Just don't get pushy about it. π)
@HoenirsSight@tiredrocketsfan@Ausbloke93@HEPennypack1 But, if He were in time, then there would be some moment where nothing existed for Him to know. Then He'd make.
What I was saying is He is outside of time, and so there is no "when" for Him per se. Not that He can't understand it, but He is not subject to it.
@tiredrocketsfan@HoenirsSight@Ausbloke93@HEPennypack1 Yeah that is one of the big issues (for me too of course, I'm not a genius or anything).
Pretty quick in these kinds of discussions I think you end up going "Well, this is the only option left... I have no idea how it would work, but it's the only one that doesn't not work".
@HoenirsSight@tiredrocketsfan@Ausbloke93@HEPennypack1 Isn't their a difference between being in something and being entirely within it? Obviously God has to be able to interact with time and the universe, but what about that requires He be completely contained in it?
The beginning of the timeline is part of the timeline, true. But God Himself is not. So He causes it to exist, and then sees it in it's totality from outside.
If the kind of knowledge He has is seeing, rather than predicting, then there is no contradiction between His knowledge and free will.
@tiredrocketsfan@Ausbloke93@HoenirsSight@HEPennypack1 This is correct. The issue with the argument is calling God's knowledge "foreknowledge". He _sees_ everything from outside of time. He does not predict or believe. There is no "before" or "after" for Him. So it's just knowledge, not knowledge before.
@_vangelis_66@wispem_wantex Why? If we got a new hire at my company and he told me he used to be a taxi driver before he went to a code camp at night and developed his own projects I'd be like "cool, you'll have to tell me stories some time." Unless you mean something else.

- Moody, forbidding puzzle / horror game where you escape death traps using observation and Morse code.
- Tense, but not outright terrifying (I really hope nothing jumps out at me).
- Solo dev.
Demo available. Link in reply.
This is a very cool concept, and I really enjoyed the demo (I've always wanted to learn Morse code).
As far as the demo goes it *seems* like a puzzle game with atmosphere, as opposed to a game where things chase you around. The game does a good job of making you *feel* like something's going to come get you though.
And I've been fooled before (I'm looking at you The Vanishing of Ethan Carter...)
@canonicalmodel@GlenWilsonIA@JackFeynman This is backwards. The existence of your consciousness is prerequisite to any understanding you have of matter. Your entire statement is nonsense if one attempts to take seriously what you're saying. You begin "I think you..." and end "'I', 'think', and 'you' don't exist."
@IndieLauraSDG@cmpopper Sometimes I worry they're going to wake up and see me intensely staring at them in the dark trying to make sure I can see their chests moving up and down through the covers π
I really don't get this tactic. I'm not making a political statement here (I wonder whether you could accurately guess what I think about politics, in fact).
But, it should be obvious that belittling and mocking edgybois does not cause them to comply. Edgybois are more like to _actively harm their own interests to avoid compliance_ than they are to comply when mocked and belittled. This is in the nature of the internet troll.
This seems so obvious to me that I sometimes wonder if this is an intentional attempt at sabotage.
@IndieLauraSDG@JoshuaLisec It's the beauty of the human race. Men and women, each retarded in their own special way, can come together to be one person who sometimes mostly has their shit together.
