A big part of this is we lump all the "college educated" together giving those with relatively worthless degrees as much status, pay, and power as those with serious degrees.
Shine a light on STEM vs. "humanities" and this-or-that "studies" vis-a-vis the real value returned to society.
Nailed it with: "It's a cult, a morbid cult, that's primarily attractive to people who can't achieve any status based on their own merits and take pleasure in harming others."
Greenies are meanies. Their false virtue silently makes the poorest even more miserable.
Their false "correlation shows causation" tactic has worked, achieved political power, and has shown clearly in the case of Angela Merkels Germany that they can do real harm when they have power.
@Chef_franco74 Sembra meraviglioso. La pasta e fagioli è la migliore. Il mio stile è stato definito "pasta porno completa", quindi potrei provare con le vongole.
@XFreeze It's more than good enough for what it does. We've been evolving things forever, but are we really better off? Just leave standards in place, because this is what allows the true innovators to take a chance.
@DavidWolfe@Grok, what is behind this myth that AI data centers consume so much fresh water? Surely, it's may have once been potable, but us treated such that it is used in a closed system.
As a percentage, how much potable water is actually diverted from human or agricultural use?
@mzjacobson How about the whole picture....just another part is all the materials, lubricants, etc, which come from oil....including all of the infrastructure to even entertain renewables.
@MarioNawfal@Grok, is this true, "Copenhagen's Green-led council is limiting elderly care residents to 80 grams of beef per week for climate reasons."?
This particular friend just posts to a WhatApp group, triggering some of the others to post what they had for lunch. So, I didn't get to try it. The guy is a southerner, from Calabria, they cook really well. My go-to lately has been a salmon sauce, which I made wrong the first time using smoked salmon instead of fresh. I'm not looking back!
