Microsoft AI has unveiled Phi-4 Multimodal and Phi-4 Mini, the latest additions to its Small Language Model (SLM) lineup. These models prioritize efficiency, versatility, and seamless multimodal processing.

Key Highlights of Phi-4 Multimodal
a. Unified Multimodal Processing – Handles text, speech, and visuals within a single architecture.
b. 5.6B Parameters with Mixture-of-LoRAs – Integrates different modalities into one representation space, removing the need for separate pipelines.
c. Optimized for Real-Time Performance – Lower latency and reduced computational overhead make it ideal for interactive AI applications.
d. Improved Scalability – Designed to be more resource-efficient, enabling broader accessibility.

NYSC @officialnyscng is leaving PCMs stranded all over the nation, on claims of late resumption.

Not considering the late release of Call-up letters, restriction on Night travel by NYSC, and insecurity many had to risk making their trips to the camps.

This is very insensitive.

NYSC is trending because Nigerians are calling on FG to scrap it for real this time.

In Kano, NYSC refused to register corp members. After a while, they received "order from above" to only allow pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers in. Then, they asked the rest go to back home. After travelling for miles.

In Kebbi state, corpers were asked to go back home, because the portal is locked and registration is impossible until further notice.

In Benue state, NYSC refused to attend to corp members for three days. Leaving them stranded.

In Niger state, PCM were originally meant to go with Batch C.

But they received call up letters recently, inviting them to camp with Stream II Batch B. On their arrival, NYSC told them to go back home, because they've been moved back to Stream I Batch C, due for camp around October/November. (According to multiple sources)

In Adamawa state, the gate was shut for late comers. Regardless of where they came from, NYSC asked them to go back home.

After navigating the unsafe conditions of the highways, and spending resources. Prospective corp members are pleading with NYSC for empathy.

Meanwhile, Nigerians are asking the FG to scrap it since they can no longer organize it.
