Thank you very much for all of the messages of support and kindness. It means a lot and I’m sorry if you are somebody I haven’t got back to. It’s been a rollercoaster at times so it’s been easier for me to ignore messages rather than keep lots of different people in the loop.
So, the good news is that after more than five weeks in Frimley Park, I was able to come home yesterday - thanks to an enormous amount of support I’m now receiving in the community. 🧵
Unfortunately, despite trying everything while in hospital, including a second operation, my #BowelCancer has advanced incredibly quickly and it’s not a battle I’m going to win.
My goal now is to make the very most of every day I have left with my wonderful family.

After five losses to start the season, this may have made sense. Four points from two away games later, with improved performances, and it’s a bit odd.
Aldershot Town FC can confirm the departure of Danny Searle as First-Team Manager with immediate effect.
We thank Danny for his efforts during his time with the club and we sincerely wish his all the best in his future endeavours.

Back in hospital at the moment and still a long road ahead - but I’m being well looked after and have been fit enough to enjoy seeing some special visitors this weekend. #bowelcancer#nhs
@CBoylen I’ll bow to your superior knowledge on that, but the fact that the horse was refusing to even enter the arena in the first place was a red flag.
Doesn’t help that the horses all get ridden by less accomplished riders first so they’re freaked out to begin with.
#ModernPentathlon today. One to keep an eye on. The showjumping has the potential to be absolute carnage! Horses drawn out of a hat with very little practice time! #Tokyo2020#OlympicGames
I like #Hockey shoot outs. Goals are so rare that you’re a hero if you score rather than the villain if you miss. Also #teamgb can actually win them! #Tokyo2020#Olympics#bbcsport
Three possible outcomes if I’d been faced with the bunker shot Morikawa just faced.
1 - Ball buried
2 - Thin into the face of the bunker (with possibly rebound into the water)
3 - Thinned just over the lip and absolutely miles over the green

Did Sabbatini (the boy from Bratislava) and Pen both have their other halves on the bag? Golfers are wasting 20% of their prize money. Just get your wives to caddy for you. Might even be a #tax dodge. #Golf#Olympics
The 100m heats were always a highlight of any #Olympics for my brothers and I growing up.
These days they have preliminary rounds, which mean the slowest athletes don’t get to run with the fastest, but there are still some standout performances, like Ba from Mauritania...
