Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone “safari” Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson. A Russian drone deliberately hunted down a man selling vegetables and detonated right next to him. The Russians even admitted to the crime, showing zero regret and openly boasting about tormenting people. The man was wounded in the blast. Every single day, ordinary people in Kherson face these Russian "safaris."

The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians. Without pressure on Russia, the dismantling of its capacity for aggression, and real security guarantees, it is simply impossible to imagine the world being able to coexist with this evil. We must remain resolute in defending life. We must act and support life in ways that force Russia to seriously think about peace rather than expanding the range of its drones.

This is not just about Ukraine. Russia’s campaign against human life must be stopped here in Ukraine before it spreads further. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania, and Moldova—all should work together to ensure real security guarantees and bring Russia’s war to an end. Peace is needed, which requires cooperation among everyone in the world who truly values peace. Thank you to everyone standing with Ukraine!

Right, because two heads of state just don't know how to talk. Or maybe, just maybe, the aggressor, Russia, doesn't want to stop its war. Which leaves the victim, Ukraine, with absolutely no choice but to defend itself.

Putin keeps refusing to meet Zelenskyy at any realistic location. He keeps insisting on Moscow, knowing very well that it isn't going to happen. Because meeting would mean the end of the war, which he doesn't want.

McFAUL: I want to applaud Trump for trying to end the war. The problem is they talk to Russians, but after that, you don't see a strategy for ending the war in place.

First, Trump likes to talk about cards. Well, they gave away their two best ones — denying Ukraine membership in NATO and ending U.S. assistance to Ukraine — and they got nothing from Putin in return.

Number two, the structure is chaotic. These guys, Kushner and Witkoff, fly to Moscow all the time. Neither of them has ever been to Kyiv.

Henry Kissinger famously coined the term "shuttle diplomacy." They're just shuttling to Moscow, not to Kyiv.

Number three, this administration has no interagency team engaged in the details.

Therefore, I'm not very optimistic that they're going to achieve results.

While I was briefly back in the US, I was disheartened by how many would say "oh is that still going on?" when referring to the war in Ukraine.

It was incredibly frustrating for me especially as an active duty medic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At that point its just willful ignorance. Everyone has a cellphone, laptop, tablet, etc. Information is literally at your finger tips. But instead of informing oneself properly, the choice seems to be watching AI slop, mainstream media, and other short attention span apps.

The was is not over, it has not slowed down, we are still working and fighting for freedom in Ukraine, the frontline is still 1000 km long, civilians are still being killed by r*ssia every day.
