Here is an article from 2019,
Very funny to look at hindsight but also a reminder that despite it being true Zelenskyy was relatively soft on Russia compared to Poroshenko,
Putin still decided to invade nevertheless
@TYPE54B@Drednotyandmore They were excellent for the theaters they operated in - specifically the Mediterranean. Could take damage that would wreck other carriers. Low aircraft compliment was a weakness, yes. They were designed when air ops were still being refined. Not perfect but had strengths.
@krystalball It’s what SB Jesus would want.
Every ‘religious’ leader who has any connection with him debases themselves. If there is a God, I would like to see how they justify their grotesque public abeyance.
@MrBrown_114@briantashman It's not just racism, but intolerance based on a white national Christian ethos. Women are too emotional, etc (and know their place).
@MrBrown_114@briantashman There are plenty of women and people of colour too, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a problem.
What would be interesting would be what areas do they represent.
Ideology is definitely an important part of the equation, maybe even decisive, but the other factors remain.
@MrBrown_114@briantashman Misogyny is a massive issue. Trump lost to a man but beat 2 women. That is striking. Much of America resents that a black man became President.
The UK has had a Hindu PM. This is a non starter for America.
On the surface there’s a lot going for it, but it’s a facade.
@MrBrown_114@briantashman I think there is a long history of intolerance. Jewish people, obviously, but Catholics also. I think one of the surprising aspects of JFK’s election win was that he was a Catholic.
