4/2 I wasn’t expecting any special treatment but I found the assistant very dismissive and appreciate we all have personal things going on but I felt I was being treated like someone who shouldn’t be out on their own without a carer.
I picked up an order from my local Next yesterday. The tablet stopped working between the guy in front and me, the other one was dead. I asked the assistant bringing the stuff out and she told me I was using it too quickly and shook the dead one and it kicked into life 1/2
3/2 I’m using a walker just now due to back damage caused by myeloma blood cancer and was sitting on it while waiting for my order. I felt there was no empathy and I was blamed for not using their equipment properly. I have 40 years IT experience.
@Bleache1rs@JeremyVineOn5 Drivers have the driving equivalent but still kill 5 people on average a day. How is this going to “focus their minds”. The best part is you think they’ll get “hit with fines every time they break the law”. Drivers don’t so why would cyclists?
@mouldyscone@BrixtonHatter@but_cyclists Ok I’ll ageee to disagree. As a cycle infrastructure campaigner, I have read a lot about this over the years but it’s finally cool enough for me to go for a walk so I’m going to do that. 36 people had a closed road protest in Edinburgh over 20 MPH objections.
@mouldyscone@BrixtonHatter@but_cyclists It’s not the same people that decide that or the same money. 20 MPH is a local council decision in Scotland. I think in Wales it was the Assembly that imposed it. National infrastructure is the Scottish parliament. I get your point but it’s a bit of a stretch conflating them.
@mouldyscone@BrixtonHatter@but_cyclists It’s been promised for years and seems to get put off constantly. The Scottish government funds national roads via Bear and other organisations. It’s the same in England. As someone who cycled until recently (myeloma cancer caused back injury), the 20MPH makes a big difference.
@Winwintegrity@ClownWorld There’s a car potentially pulling out into the bike lane at the beginning or they could be doored if too close hence the swerve and the car coming in from the left is going to drive through the bike lane before straightening up. Very poor driving and good anticipation frm cyclist
@virginmedia your V360 upgrade system is broken. It took me 3 days of chat to arrange my upgrade and I’ve ordered it for my dad and he’s not received the remotes despite ordering on 2 May. I can’t face the pain of going through a chat and details authorisation again.
@but_cyclists I normally cycle to work that way my wife has the car for the days I’m in. I also use it for shopping trips. I’m off long term sick with cancer and a fractured back so she’s driving me to chemo and other things.
