I’ve never jived with Pronman’s analysis in general but he’s got to at least provide some context. Bad skating is too broad.
Straight line speed? Edge work? Use your words man
@AdamZHerman But realistically what is his ceiling or best case scenario? A 2nd pair guy with above average PK ability?
He’s maybe over qualified for a 3rd pair role but haven’t seen enough for anything more.
Braden Schneider, signed 1x$5.5M by NYR, is a right-handed defenceman with solid physical tools including size and decent mobility. Played top four minutes last season but they did not go very well.
@NYRChip23 He’ll be 38 and as much as they want to be competitive, he’ll take a spot on PP1 that should go to Laf and/or Gabe
At a certain point age will catch up and frankly don’t think it’s something that’s necessary.
From the column:
“Analysis: I’ve heard we shouldn’t rule out the Rangers adding another forward this summer. Drury hinted at that, as well.”
I’m really thinking Kane on a one year deal.
#NYR lost a lot of guys known as solid mentors over the last week. Kane would address that
Mario Ferraro, signed 3x$4M by WPG, is a defenceman who has had some very strange results the past few seasons in a matchup role for San Jose. I think he profiles as a Ceci type mobile defender but god knows.
Wouldn’t shock me if Sullivan pulled some strings to get Drury onboard with this
Perfectly fine for 2LD, allow for Robertson/Smits to rotate on the 3rd pair
