- Many people who lost their homes are underinsured & can't afford to rebuild.
- Many others are inexpert at supervising contractors & vulnerable to being scammed.

@AlexaMystic56 I wouldn’t be so bullish on north coastal SD remaining as blue as I see it. It’s blue today because it’s decidedly anti-Trump, but given NIMBY attitudes, rapidly increasing wealth, and proximity to Camp Pendleton, I feel that the SCSL would still win the plurality in most seats

A short-term win can be a long-term loss for renters.

Extreme oversupply freezes construction activity for years — subcontractors go BK, labor force contracts, stranded assets result, and supply returns only when rents pop again.

Cities should run smart counter-cyclical policy.
