Georgia Southern volleyball swept Alabama State tonight (25-18, 25-13, 25-17), and a bit of history came with it.
The Eagles had a season-high .429 hitting percentage. It's only the second .400+ performance in the Chad Willis era (.452 vs. UNC Asheville on 9/12/23, 3-0 win).
Georgia Southern is 8-1 overall, including four consecutive sweeps. In their eight wins, they've won 24 of 28 sets.
Tonight was just the start of a busy weekend in Statesboro. The Eagles will play inside Hanner Fieldhouse against Western Carolina on Friday and Winthrop on Saturday.
