@nut_history It’s not that bad and actually gives an even bigger reward to the best team. Teams that play the regular season are not always the same team in the playoffs. Injuries, trades, etc can make matchups easier or more difficult regardless or order of finish

Bill Walsh Employs the Wishbone
In the second half of the first MNF game to feature "replacement players" during the 1987 players' strike, the 49ers legendary head coach utilizes the "wishbone" offense against the Giants and head coach Bill Parcells.
Walsh — the architect of the "West Coast Offense", which primarily prioritizes the passing game — decided to use the wishbone [running] offense in order to play to the strengths of his replacement quarterback for the Niners, Mark Stevens.
''The wishbone was something we thought of in preparing for the game,'' said Walsh. ''The first play we ran it, Bill Parcells and I looked at each other and had a quiet moment together. I thought it was entertaining to look at, but just momentarily.''
ABC's Al Michaels, Frank Gifford, and Dan Dierdorf take delight in the moment.
If Arkansas had never fired Bobby Petrino and they continued giving him $2 million raises every 4 years and he kept his 66.7% win percentage, Petrino would be making $9.56 million today and the Razorbacks would have 46 more wins.

If Texas A&M had never fired Kevin Sumlin and they continued giving him $2 million raises every 4 years and he kept his 66.2% win percentage, the Aggies today would have saved $102 million and had two more wins 👀

“Chasing Cars” is from Snow Patrol’s 2006 album Eyes Open. The track became the band's biggest international hit, peaking at #5 on the UK Singles Chart, #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reaching the Top 10 in several countries.
Although it never reached #1 in the UK, it became one of the best-selling singles of the 21st century there and has been certified multi-Platinum in both the UK and the US. The track's monumental success was fuelled in part by its repeated use on Grey's Anatomy.
Glad HU held on for the W! But love these calls by Ouachita Baptist play by play guy Rex Nelson! Hope they got an oxygen tank in the booth after that OBU touchdown! 😂 love the energy and passion!
Saban on Gameday at 10:50a: “Protect College Sports! Thank you Trump for saving college sports!”
Saban at 11:50a: “If I were still coaching? I’d do whatever it takes to convince [MSU QB Kamario Taylor] to get in the Portal”
Yup, that about sums it up 👍
OTD in 1978, the Oilers lost to the Rams 10-6, but what was not lost is the memory of one of the most talked about runs in NFL history. Earl Campbell, a rookie bulldozer, with no respect to 8-year veteran LB Isaiah Robertson. Complete destruction. The kind of play they'll still talk about in 50 years. Enjoy this masterpiece #LuvYaBlue
