@necky_fade In ‘86 I was at the peak of my golf. Playing off 2 HCP just playing weekends when half the guys in the State team were off 1.
I drove it about 250y and thought that pros who drove 275y were supermen.
All this additional distance is not needed and not an improvement.

@TalkBirdie_ToMe@nickohern@MarkAllenGolf Straddling the line of your intended putt should be banned. It’s an infected boil on the rump of what’s left of our great game.
I don’t switch on to watch ‘line-dancing’.🤨
@drakesmith__ No line. Don’t need it.
1) I’m pretty good at aiming the putter.
2) With a ‘straight’ line on a round ball I’d never be happy that it was correct.
3) Tried it and lost focus on my target.
4) I hate with a passion this business of marking and adjusting the ball 2-3 times.
@ballboysfantasy I’m a Dons fan but this is rubbish. You want to do better? Get stronger players, better coaches, better development, better training, better selectors.
It would be simpler to give them a 4 goal start in each match.
Football is the last place in which we need socialism.
@benpearlgolf Thanks.
I used to love repairing and tinkering with golf clubs. I used to have a better workshop than our local pro. But lost my shed when a bush fire destroyed it. Couldn’t be bothered replacing all the tools because a younger pro took over and upgraded his shop. 👍🏻
@benpearlgolf I was messing with an old driver head yesterday which has a blind bore.
What’s the minimum insertion depth for a carbon fibre driver shaft, if you don’t mind me asking? Is 32mm enough?
@heraldsunsport Even the GA muppets probably thought that rock bands, fireworks, beer throwing shotgun starts and team rubbish were a bit much for a 122 year old National Open which has managed to cling to some dignity in the face of unrelenting boorishness. 🙂
@BryanTweed16@Weatherhack My first trip back to Scotland in July 1982. After an early dinner my uncle & I took on my cousin & his uncle over Old Prestwick. Green fee about £8.
We shot 65 better ball and they paid for the pints in a local pub as we watched the gloaming descend over the Firth of Clyde. 🙂
@RSN927@sportsbetcomau They’re so far down at the moment, they should get packages from UNHCR, the World Health Organisation,
the World Bank and the Salvation Army. 😀
@FootyonNine Any potential candidate who says ‘I’m not applying if James Hird is being considered’, is a dud, and should be ruled out immediately.

@GOLFPASS@martinhallGC@GolfChannel@PGATOUR One of the hallmarks of a good ball striker is that he doesn’t back up his head away from the ball.
Most amateurs stand-up and have their head inches further from the ball than it was at address. That’s a lot of recalculating the brain needs to do.
