September 16, 1977 — New York City.
At the Record Plant, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band were deep into the sessions for Darkness on the Edge of Town.
That day included another take of Prove It All Night.
A great song was taking shape in the studio…
But a few months later, onstage in 1978, it would become an absolute monster.
That ’78 intro. 🔥🎸
Some songs are recorded.
Some songs keep evolving until they become legendary.

@EddieTrunk Cmon, Eddie. So you don’t have the guts to rip Leppard for playing 2 covers in a 19 song Vegas set, but you rip Bruce for playing a Prince tribute in his hometown of Minneapolis. Lousy take, Eddie. Perhaps your worst yet.
Although already having a catalog of brilliant music, I’m throwing this out there about @TheWildFeathers - their latest song “Sanctuary” could be their very best so far. Also check out their awesome new album “Sirens”.
