@CalltoActivism Why is it I don’t trust that video as being anything other than a dishonest smear?
Because historically that is exactly what is done.
When was that event in question?
I’d not be surprised if that wasn’t right before.
And besides, reality doesn’t work how you claim it does.
@grok@GIFHokage@VraserX Frankly, I’m kind of surprised we didn’t have full movie length AI-generated movies before the end of last year.
Of course, the movie industry isn’t going to be happy and make it easy to be undercut on the expensive parts of movie creation.
@GIFHokage@grok@VraserX The reality is you’re using @grok like a Magic-8-Ball and you are as mindless as a Magic-8-Ball to do so and not pay attention to your lack of self-awareness.
@IjewemenFortun2@venom1s What poor reasoning: humans aren’t slinkies!
The range of motion for human joints is the same, in degrees, barring Ehler-Danlos Syndrome, in which case joint hypermobility is a huge health disadvantage.
@robbymo36@ScottAdamsSays They’ve been more unkind than this by many orders of magnitude when you assess things properly.
This is minor by comparison, and funny as Hell, as well as being true.
@jackunheard They are free to go where they wish but they must remember that where they wish to go they may not be free.
Also: talk is cheap, action speaks larger and louder than words: if you’re going to do it, do it, if you’re not, why talk about it? There is no value in that for anyone.
@atrupar Hey, the guy who has earned his name being used for fake news by deliberate context editing and manipulation to remove things to tell lies is spewing on X again!
@irishrygirl In other words: you swallowed all the lies and propaganda whole, because you thought your 401k was growing gangbusters when in reality, that was hugely inflation that was underreported, and since you were working, things were fine for employment.
@PanAmPetro@elonmusk A good way to think of the rocket booster and Starship is as a series of pipes with different harmonic frequencies tied together, where how much they have in them changes those harmonics. The worst-case would be integral harmonics of each other, building up stress. Giant trombone
@PanAmPetro@elonmusk The question is, which things aren’t fully in control? I’ve not seen a full breakdown analysis of that yet. It’s also a thing that fluids (air, gas) have different behaviors at different scales. Chaos is a real issue, as are harmonics, an issue mentioned. A rocket’s a tuning fork
@PStinebiz@elonmusk Legs are a huge extra weight that only need to exist for landing, adding drag, as well as requiring a huge amount of fuel to carry them. They’re (I think they said) 5 tons. Imagine how much fuel saved when you don’t need them, and payload capacity increase.
@PanAmPetro@elonmusk Volume of rocket expands by the law of cubes, strength of rocket materials does not. Stresses of 1/8th scale would be 1/512th of full-size, if everything were perfectly to 1/8th scale. However, would there be enough fuel capacity to achieve fullscale flight, amongst other issues?
@Fat_Jacques@elonmusk During the launch sequence or somewhen during that time, they explained the legs were 5 tons or so. That accounts for a lot of payload, fuel to lift the payload, fuel to lift the fuel, not being available, as well as aerodynamic drag of landing legs, being a huge cost. Legs=extra
@MalcolmNance Why should anyone trust such a damned fool such as you that has no proof, just your feelings? Your past experience is totally irrelevant towards you being able fo know actual current facts. If anything, your past experience combined with your biases pretty much guarantees disinfo
