New pinned tweet, in honor of @UnicornIncluded making it into @NYCwebfest. We're so excited to take part! More details about the fest to come.

It's a roommate sitcom... with a #unicorn! We've got four short episodes live now and are planning for more. See links in next tweet.

@gabebraxton Working on a pitch deck (meaning, providing text and info to the designer who's actually doing most of the work...).

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

@JosefMatulich Sending good thoughts. Hoping things look up.

@jeannevb @JEStew3 A couple big-ish wins for the week.

1) I made the new Dead List showcase with my current feature.

2) Had a really good general meeting with a couple of Canada’s top showrunners, that I hope was the start of a good relationship.

My cousin and another cousin’s kid are discussing who would win between the Minions and Michael Myers and… that’s a stunt script someone needs to get on.

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

It's been a great week for me as a writer. I already mentioned that I made the Dead List earlier this week, but I also had a great meeting with some of Canada's top showrunners and have a script in their hands now. Now, how do I follow this up?

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

@TizzyEnt See, this guy just makes me sad.

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

@DannyManus Happy birthday!

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

@Kellyxasher 😂 Honestly, maybe.

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

@JParrotberg @AshLazerWrites Thanks!

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

Thanks, @AshLazerWrites! So proud to be on the Hot New Specs showcase (specifically on The Dead List). A very appreciated feather in the cap for my weird genre script, JUST LIKE YOU. Congrats to everyone in the showcase; I see a lot of familiar names and cool folks up there.

Lights. Camera. RADNESS!

Legendary special guests. Emmy-winning pros. The dopest emerging & underrepresented voices.

This is our HOT NEW SPECS showcase, featuring the best original & unproduced market-ready specs (all genres/formats/mediums). 🧵

@GareRick Apparently there have been some more recent attempts as well, but this is the one I was referring to.

The cereal bits actually look more like Chex or something, but the marshmallows were definitely Lucky Charm rejects.

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

@GareRick I remember the brief run of Spider-Man cereal in the 90s, which was effectively Lucky Charms. 😂

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

@murraymaker Not a huge body horror guy, but hoping this does well. Getting more experimental with genre and project scope is exactly what Marvel and DC should be doing.

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

@MizzMarshaS Fair point. Any horror script with "dark romance" elements is going to get compared to it at the moment, so I could put a bit more effort into making it feel different. Probably doesn't help that i use the word. :P

[Jonathan Fournier @JonFour]

So, does this work as a logline? Is the end too cutesy? Thoughts welcome as I try to kick my marketing up a notch.

(Please ignore the pic. I have much better art coming... but that's an update for a few weeks from now.)

JUST LIKE YOU
A disabled man can't believe his luck when he stumbles into dating a "perfect" woman. But once he realizes that her love is fueled by a strange obsession, he’ll have to fight his way out of the relationship… or die trying.

@Tubi Is Are You Afraid of the Dark? region-locked or something? Not popping up when I try to search for it.

@LauraSkopec This sounds so fun. Congrats!
