Birthday shout to Mark Wahlberg born born June 5, 1971. Raised in Dorchester, he got his start in music as Marky Mark & turned into a solid actor shooting multiple movies in his home state like Ted, The Fighter, The Departed, The Perfect Storm, Patriots Day & Spenser Confidential
@MichaelV11391 For me the writing and ensemble mix is what makes a near perfect movie. If the whole cast is crushing the dialogue that's smart and compelling, it hooks me. The Social Network is like that, Sorkin's words with that cast and Fincher controlling the team.
@MichaelV11391 Truman Show to me is one of the few near perfect films from the acting, the writing and direction. Shawshank, LA Confidential, Few Good Men all have flawless ensembles, writing and style.
What is your favorite child performance in movies?
#TylerHoechlin 100% holds his own opposite #TomHanks, Paul Newman, #DanielCraig and Jude Law in Road to Perdition. A gem of a child performance in a somewhat forgotten modern classic.
@TheRealPorchMan I think there are some great child performances like Natalie Portman in Leon: The Professional, Tatum O'Neal in Paper Moon, Hoechlin in this etc. but overall you normally just watch a kid playing a kid.

Happy #Killdozer Day to all who celebrate! On June 4, 2004 Marvin Heemeyer climbed into his customized armored bulldozer & rampaged through buildings including his town hall, the house of a former mayor & more people he felt wronged him over the years. 2 years of planned revenge.
Today is the 22nd anniversary of Marvin Heemayer's "Killdozer" rampage, a reminder to all in public service to approach our duties with compassion, justice, and sanity. The decisions we make affect real people, so we should consider them carefully and soberly.
The new #PressureFilm from @FocusFeatures explains what happened with the weather and delay of #DDay. I thoroughly enjoyed it. #BrendanFraser as Eisenhower works well and #AndrewScott as James Stagg holds your attention throughout despite knowing how it all ends historically.
