@johnywrites ๐ฏmeaning educ is a complex interactive process rather than merely transactional. This is important when thinking abt using genAI in educ. Those who think AI will replace teachers see educ as transactional, thinking of AI as an affordance means seeing educ as interactional.
Yes,
An educational approach obsessed with knowledge(or long term memory) for measurement's sake misses the point entirely.
"When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure"
(Goodhartโs Law)
"Learning should be seen as a qualitative change in a person's way of seeing, experiencing, understanding, conceptualizing something in the real world - rather than as a quantitative change in the amount of knowledge someone possesses."
-Paul Ramsden (Australian educator)
I am once again begging for better integration of institutional logins for literature searches and journal indexes.
Putting my wish for Pubmed to be able to single click check my credentials and allow full text access into the universe!

1. Breakfast tacos
New jobs, life changes, and a pandemic made turning this scholarly into a challenge, but we ultimately found a home for our project. It was an endeavor that allowed us to stay in touch after chief year and so fun to write up together. Hope our work can be helpful to others.
Years ago during chief year, @orhueodaro and I organized a weekly Trivia game with prizes for @BCM_InternalMed. We hoped it would be a joyful way to connect people across four hospitals and busy rotations--a shared activity for belonging and engagement.
