.@uwcse researchers have created a headphone that allows listeners to hear people speaking within a bubble with a programmable radius of 3-6 ft. Voices and sounds outside the bubble are quieted, even if they’re louder than those in the bubble.

For the first time in 469 days, yesterday's global sea surface temperature was *not* a new record for the day, with this year's global SST for June 26th of 20.89°C equaling last year's record for the same day.
This graph is a testament to how absurdly warm global sea surface temperatures have been over the last 12 months. Out of all the data visualizations I have posted on here so far, this might genuinely be the most alarming one.
And again, just to see how truly mind-blowingly gobsmackingly bananas current global sea surface temperatures are, here is the graph of global sea surface temperatures with the year 2023 omitted.
