Do not attempt to choose two (2) Intervention Locations or book two (2) separate dates.

(3) Passport Application Form and Appointment Slip.

(4) Old Passport Booklet (mandatory for all reissuance/renewals or change of data).

(5) £70 Postal order payable to the Nigeria High Commission or click the link for E-payment.

(6) £150 Postal order for Lost/Misplaced or Damaged passport payable to the Nigeria High Commission is required, or click the link for E-payment.

(7) A prepaid Royal Mail C4 special delivery self-addressed envelope (for return of the processed passport).

Let me tell you about naked mole rats. This live underground throughout their lives. They eat root, tubers and bulbs underground without leaving their burrow. When they come across a tuber that's big, they don't try to finish it at once.

They practice a form of sustainable harvesting.They bore into the tuber and eat little out of the softer interior flesh. They deliberately leave the thin outer epidermis (skin) mostly intact. This keeps the plant alive and healthy, allowing it to continue growing or regenerate new tissue. They'll dig around their tunnels to look for other roots and do this. In a few days, they'll go back to the big tuber, which would have regenerated to eat a little again. They're smart not to overwork the tuber or kill it. They farm and bill with sense.

Vultures eat anthrax, botulism, rabies, and cholera for breakfast.

A vulture eating a diseased carcass isn't a vector for disease, it's a terminus. The disease chain ends in the vulture's gut, and that's pretty hardcore.

When vulture populations crashed in India in the 1990s, rotting livestock carcasses sat where vultures used to clean them.

Feral dogs and rats took over the cleanup, both of which actually do spread rabies. Researchers later linked the vulture collapse to roughly 500,000 deaths in India over the following decade.

The same collapse is now underway in sub-Saharan Africa. Six of eleven African vulture species are threatened with extinction, primarily from poisoned poaching baits.

The animals nobody finds cute are doing more public health work than most of the species we actively protect.

My wife's cooking has always been the target of family jokes.
