@perw As far as I know, Jest basically runs with a test runner for "simulating" your functions being invoked and ran. While Cypress actually mounts your components in a web server and runs the function based on however you specify it.

The times in my mind would be flipped.

Been replacing my jest tests with cypress component tests and I feel it can be a very good contender. Especially if you already use cypress for e2e testing.
