@JamesTGallagher@BBCSounds Although for inside health, there is still a lack of information on decisions like this when you are already on medication? What difference do my anti-coagulants make? What about a 92 year old on 8 other medications? Not expecting and anwer here.
@JamesTGallagher Do you know anything about the Inside Health podcast being broken on Apple podcasts and getting a big chicken one instead? I suppose I’ll have to go to @BBCSounds to catch up - the interface is rubbish though.
@JamesTGallagher@BBCSounds It is the one on exercise and statins and skin cancer. Just listened on Sounds and as someone who has had 2 1a melanomas and was asked on go onto statins with a QRisk of 7.24% on these bloods but a history of unprovoked PE, it was interesting and one I wanted.
Can't resist revisiting this Art Nouveau winding staircase decorated with metal flowers and vines, designed by architect Ede Magyar, at Reök Palace in Szeged, Hungary (1907)
Brilliant that plans are coming together for the unveiling of a blue plaque to commemorate the Battle of Holbeck Moor on 29th Sept 2024 - save the date!

@madbadsadhad @paulybengali My french tutor was promoting herself on here. I’ve now been having weekly hour long conversation classes on zoom for a couple of years. However, it was low risk, I could have ducked out after a lesson if it hadn’t worked out.
@Scientits Doesn’t it make it easier for them to find each other? Like a flat earther would have been laughed out of the pub 20 years ago but now they can find the special flat earth pub on social media? Does that embolden them?
@jburnmurdoch Whichever replacement I look at, I only have a proportion of my long curated feed on here and many don’t post as much. Nothing is as comfortable as this used to be. I will have to make the plunge soon though.
@drmarkporter@NHSBT I wish I could but cancer and anti-coagulants mean I can’t anymore. They did send me a nice certificate covering the donations I had done ( and yes I am humble bragging ) someone needs to replace me.
