@TimSweeneyEpic@BoredElonMusk I just dislike that they may have decided to teardown high art aspirations of their studios in favor of something that may be one-a-minute stuff
@TimSweeneyEpic@BoredElonMusk They'll probably try drag themselves into the mobile gaming race. It's a Microsoft niche to target a sort of mid-end, high utilization revenue possibility. Not the best. But volume. Billions maybe, but Candy Crush stuff, not art. C# of in-the-moment viral apps.
Yeah, but they don't really. Beauty in UI is a careful mixture of familiarity and novelty. And somehow the former requires distillation and the latter insight. Neither of which LLMs are any good at. Outside of cookie cutter stuff, UI is customer magic, not AI blasting, methinks
You know. Im concerned no one at Microsoft knows what they're doing. If it's downsizing iconic studios, or sticking a button for disfunctional Copilot near the sign-in button in Outlook or just generally shilling aging Dynamics in modern ERP AI enabled war, they just fail
@Grummz It's a cultural icon. She could have killed 10 studios outside of it and nobody would have noticed, but Id is a sort of monument. Corporate axemen are notoriously tone deaf
LLM development is sort of like powering your business on interns like audit firms. Great while predictable, but a miss may be the end of your piece of mind, or your business.
@TimSweeneyEpic@theo Sometimes I check the code and Im okay. Sometimes I check code and ... wtf why Newell why not PCA, are you dim? What is the repeated bs here? And it dawns that trash may be turtles all the way down. Sometimes it's fine again. Stochastic compiler != C compiler, sadly
@IceSolst I sell SaaS and I think GaaS is a terrible idea. The immediateness of just throwing on a game to play is critical to UX for gaming. The friction of logins and the battle for a network link is just creating distance
Still rough, and the sound especially, but Konjur3D getting some proper upgrades on the game engines: 2D and 3D. Some more templates and piles of new logic
