Professors: teach for free? In a capitalist economy? They couldn't live.

@darkmicrobio Two diametrically opposed realities have emerged. Only one is based on real things but each side believes them to their very core. This scares me the most because I see no path back. You can't make people believe something they can't see as real.

Two diametrically opposed realities have formed with their own common sense and logic and critical thinking. Only one reality is based on those but both sides believe theirs as equally real.

@geologiststephy The counter argument will be "but your tuition is paid". But remember that no one can eat tuition. So while yes a very valuable service is exchanged for your labor, you are not given an income that keeps you out of poverty.
