Trumps Sitrep: Rather than prepare Americans for a prolonged conflict, President Trump put a timeline – albeit a vague one – on Operation Epic Fury last night in primetime.

Set is ready @ElonMusk
We built it 25min from downtown Austin and can shoot anytime in the next 7 days on 1h notice.
Humanity is on the verge of becoming a multi-planet species and spacefaring civilization.
My goal with this interview is to help people viscerally feel what that future is going to look like and get everyone excited to help build it.
Some gentle pushback on this. Moved here when I was 18, pass through the station all the time. Grabbed an early morning train last week and definitely walked through piss. There are still plenty of sketchy characters and trash. The DC beautification is amazing and the situation is much better, but it's not like we've gone from Times Square in 1980 to modern Japan. Long way to go in the District!
I almost hesitate to promote this, because it wasn't really intended to be a piece. I just sort of sat down and it came out. Maybe someone else out there has the same type of day today, and it'll speak to them.

Despite Republicans currently having a ~12-15 seat advantage (current majority and new maps included), Democrats have enough Generic Congressional Ballot support to win about 20, enough to win a majority.
Betting markets still give Democrats a 75% chance to win.
Believing last night to be an example of good security is insane. Secret Service and everyone in that ballroom got lucky. The shooter should never have been allowed to get that close. The perimeter should not have been so tiny. A gunman even getting into the building is a prima facie security failure.
Think for one minute what could’ve if vest-wearing bombers cleared the only layer of security, followed by gunmen who ran through the now-wide open perimeter into the ballroom.
Is Polymarket/Kalshi sponsoring these posts? I’ve seen 100 of the same posts today, on an issue that seems pretty black and white.
Both of them are prolific in sponsoring posts without the posts being identified as ads.
Funny how "trading with benefits" only seems to matter when you're not in Congress.
-Nancy Pelosi grew her portfolio 17,000% since 1987 (from $800,000 to $133 million).
-Ro Khanna made 3,000 trades totaling over $50 million in 2025 alone, and since 2024 his investments have outperformed the S&P 500 by 112%.
-MTG grew her portfolio 476% since joining Congress. In April 2025 she bought up to $315,000 in stocks the day before Trump paused tariffs.
-Dan Crenshaw OUTPERFORMED Nancy Pelosi in 2021, then bought stocks during the COVID crash while the CARES Act was being voted on. He didn't report the trades as required by law.
-Senator Kelly Loeffler dumped $20M million in stocks in early 2020 after a private COVID briefing, just before the market crash.
A soldier gets prosecuted. These people get reelected.
Jane Clark: You’re a snob, a sexist, totally obnoxious, and tiresome. And lately, you’ve gotten just weird. Why should we believe anything you say?
Nick Smith: I’m not tiresome.
