“A healthy church therefore has leaders who are trustworthy, but it also has members who are willing to trust.”
@JonathanLeeman encouraging attendees of #9MARKSMBTS to consider how trust fuels the work of the church.
Many men today have lost their bearings when it comes to leadership. In this condensed version of his book 'Authority,' Jonathan Leeman equips men to take hold of the authority they’ve received and responsibly steward it for the good of others.

@LostMyHats JD, at this point I'm going to disengage from this conversation, and I'll explain why: I don't believe you're being honest. You make a claim. I demonstrate it's false. You double down. That's not a good use of my time. I do pray you would know the Lord's peace.
@LostMyHats To be clear, I addressed one thing in my tweet: "sudden change," which was the basis of much of your tweet. I demonstrated that that is untrue. You want to change the subject, which you can do. But I still wonder if you're sticking with your original thesis.
@CodyLibolt I know my own heart too well to ever deny the possibility of fear of man instead of fear of God as a baseline motive. So thank you for the challenge.
That said, I began changing what I said publicly shortly after 2018. Here's a 2020 article saying so: https://t.co/BKCoCvse3x
“Leaders should lead with the right purpose and the right posture. Their purpose is the good and growth of others. Their posture is the humility that comes with faith and fearing the Lord.” —Jonathan Leeman https://t.co/YluV3du6eQ
