This was not a war of choice for Ukraine
If they stop fighting, then Ukraine stops existing
Framing this as elites versus the people is rich coming from the world’s wealthiest human
@ConciousLabRat Both can be true. If you are not in the upper crust of Russian society and get to live in Moscow or St. Petersberg, your life is crap. Since the breakup of the Soviet Union, the Baltic States have done much better in terms of quality of life and per capita GDP.
@Providnik1 Ukraine just revolutionized warfare in the midst of constant bombardment. Russia will not agree to a ceasefire as they are terrified what the Ukrainians can develop when not under attack.
@atrupar We import almost nothing from either Russia or Ukraine, and again the cost is passed on to the consumer. MAGA please, there is still time to come back to the rational world.
@johnhawkinsrwn Neither will like it. It's not up to Zelensky because they are an actual functioning democracy, so it would need Parliament support. Putin will refuse because he never had a legitimate concern, he just wants conquest.
@hayliegreg When you are up at the upper stratosphere of art, "rankings" become pointless, so I would just add this one in from Randy Rhodes, a trained classical guitarist who we did not get to fully blossom due to a stupid pilot.
