On a separate panel, Cherie Metcalf presented our coauthored paper on "Communicating Risk Across the Political Divide: Assessing Institutional Trust Over Time".
It was great last month to return to the Palmer House Chicago for the Midwestern Political Science Association conference. I presented the paper (coauthored with Charlotte Alexander), "District Court Referral Practices to Magistrate Judges".
My presentation was as part of a panel on "Judicial Behavior and Institutional Design" that it was my fortune and honor to chair. @AlisonHMerrill and Mariliz Kastberg-Leonard provided excellent comments on the papers (including ours)!
Last week I attended the second Conference on Constitutional Law and Economics at @UVALaw. I got great feedback on my project with Dan Klerman on "Diversity Jurisdiction and Out-of-State Bias: Experimental Evidence". Thanks to Michael Gilbert & @Maxwell_Stearns for organizing.
