@Andrew_MuckRack You mentioned last September that this functionality would be delivered "soon." It's damaging to our reputations to have erroneous bylines attributed to us. When will we have the ability to address this without tweeting you or messaging your team?
@Andrew_MuckRack MuckRack continues to link to stories I didn't write on my profile. Within the last couple of weeks, at least 3 stories were falsely attributed to me, including the one at the top of my profile now. Why do you refuse to let journalists edit their own profiles?
@JoniSweet@muckrack While you're not currently able to make those adjustments it's something the team will look at in the near term. For now, are there any outlets this tends to happen with? The best thing would be to fix the root cause. Feel free to DM or email me directly.
PR pros, I have an idea about hosting a live online event to provide rapid on-the-spot feedback for PR pitches in a group setting. Is this something you'd be into? Honest feedback is appreciated!

My newsletter has grown significantly—we're now at more than 2,700 subscribers! I'm opening up new spots for sponsors (& one spot is already sold for March). If you're looking to spread the message about your brand or service to PR pros, let's talk!
Is there an app I can use to temporarily pause incoming voice notes? Sometimes I can text, but can't do a voice note, and I'd like my contacts to know when they should avoid sending me one.
@MarissaWanders Some reporters are way too precious about this. I don’t always have time to draft full questions before an interview, but I’ve found if I send over bulleted talking points, that’s enough for the source to prep with, and they come into the interview way more confident.
For 2025, let’s normalize sending interview questions or at least talking points in advance (for most stories). It’s a way to help sources feel more comfortable and deliver better quotes. Let's get real: Most of us aren’t working on front-page exposés every day, and that’s OK.
My two cats made their editorial debut in my review of self-cleaning litter boxes for Best Products! I wonder if they can be considered a tax deduction this year...🤔

Wow, imagining likening someone trying to make a living to “a dog with a frisbee.” This is so disrespectful and I will never work with an editor who speaks to writers this way when requesting pitches.
Imagine being the editor of a magazine and calling freelancers — you know, the talented professionals you rely on to create your product — DOGS in your plea for pitches. Disgusting. I hope he receives zero pitches (and wait til you find out he pays pennies!).

Usually by this time of year, I've received several emails from editors thanking me for my hard work over the last year. This year? None. Not one. I'm not taking it personally, but I think it says a lot about the current state of the industry.
