Shift worker at Rolls-Royce building SaaS apps with Claude AI instead of a CS degree. Sharing the real numbers, wins and screwups on the way to £10k MRR.
Starting to document my journey building SaaS products in public.
I work shifts at Rolls-Royce. I'm not a developer. I use Claude to help me build.
I've got 5 apps live. I'm aiming for £10k MRR.
Currently at about £29/month. 😅
Long way to go. Let's see what happens.
“I don't stop when I’m tired. I stop when I’m done.” - @davidgoggins
This Goggins quote gets me through a lot because it reminds me how powerful the mind is.
Keep building!
Stay hard!!!
I’m building an app that gets kids excited about going outside to look for birds.
Basically Pokémon GO for people with binoculars.
Instead of “can I have the iPad?”, you get:
“DAD! I FOUND A ROBIN!”
Honestly, I’ll take it.
Building Twitcher. 🐦
@Pembico The web app has been out for a while and I’ve got customers signed up to it but I think the iOS app will open a lot more for them. And being a shift worker myself, I’m actually excited to use it. 🙂
Shift work gives you a strange relationship with time.
Everyone is starting their day.
You’re going to bed.
Everyone is relaxing after work.
You’re heading in.
Then on your days off, you’re too tired to know what day it is.
No wonder I’m building an app for shift workers.
@Pembico shiftwell has its own Facebook, Instagram and threads accounts but I’m in full on marketing mode just now as I’m in the process of building the iOS app for it. It’s looking great but probably a couple of weeks away from being ready. Then it’s marketing time. 😂
@Moemahmud Thanks mate. We have a forest out behind my house and we’re always in there exploring, making dens and watching the birds. So I decided to gamify it. 😂
