@drewsnx Cyclists are often forced off cycle ways when they are shared with pedestrians as they are not well segregated enough to allow cyclists to maintain a reasonable speed, especially when commuting. Shared surfaces are not the benefit that they are thought to be by non cyclists.

Sadly this was an accident waiting to happen: neither the wall, the hedge nor the blue car are wearing high vis. My neighbour's hairdresser's nephew is a crash scene investigator, and he says that it's only a matter of time before dark coloured walls, hedges and cars are illegal.
