This week alone:
DOJ opens an investigation into the woman Trump raped.
The White House is caught steering a $620 million contract to Don Jr.’s firm.
The Pentagon hands out a $10 billion contract after Trump buys stock in the company.
Foreign governments are caught funneling hundreds of millions into a random JPMorgan account tied to Trump’s “Board of Peace” with no oversight.
It’s just Thursday.
The corruption isn’t hidden anymore. It’s happening out in the open.
BREAKING Reuters:
President Biden has sued the Trump Justice Department — seeking to bar the release of audio recordings and transcripts of private conversations with his biographer in 2016 and 2017.
No nation, no society, and no international order can call itself just and humane if it measures its success solely by power or prosperity while neglecting those who live at the margins. Indeed, Christ’s love for the least and the forgotten compels us to reject every form of selfishness that leaves the poor and the vulnerable invisible.
Trump sued his own government for $10 billion. Today he settled with the DOJ he runs and cut the judge out of the process.
The deal: a $1.8 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund his Attorney General controls, with no court oversight and no transparency. It’s the most corrupt scheme of his presidency.
At my first @scbwi conference, Dori Chaconas mentioned selling - I think - her 26th book. I said to the person next to me, "I just want to BE Dori Chaconas." She replied, "EVERYONE wants to be Dori Chaconas."
That's probably true. Dori had an amazing career full of books from her award-winning Cork and Fuzz easy readers to picture books like CHRISTMAS MOUSELING, LOOKING FOR EASTER, DON'T SLAM THE DOOR and HURRY DOWN TO DERRY FAIR.
Dori was an excellent rhymer. I often referred folks to her "Icing on the Cake" online article where she broke down exactly how to write in rhythm and rhyme. It was full of helpful advice.
Dori also wrote ON A WINTRY MORNING, that helped me with the rhyme for my SHARING THE BREAD. When I ran into Dori at another @SCBWIWisconsin conference, I said I'd borrowed her rhyme scheme. She said, "That's OK. I borrowed it from someone else!"
I didn't know Dori well but admired her from afar. It was reassuring to see Wisconsin produce such a talented, prolific author. If you haven't read Dori's work, spend some time seeing how beautifully written and structured picture books can be.
Trump pardoned hundreds of sex predators & violent criminals who beat cops on January 6th. Now, they’re back on our streets—raping, assaulting, and murdering Americans.
I don’t want to hear a damn thing from my Republican colleagues about “law and order.”
CASAR: For the $1 billion we're being asked to spend on Trump's ballroom, we could fund 217 million free school lunches and 15,000 more teachers. As secretary of education, which do you think helps our nation more?
McMAHON: I think those are incredibly weird comparisons
NEW: Kamala Harris is calling for an “expanded playbook” to strengthen democracy — including Electoral College reform, Supreme Court expansion, rules for SCOTUS including consequences for lying to the Senate, multi-member districts, and D.C./Puerto Rico statehood.

🚨 Trump illegally taxed working families for over a year.
The Supreme Court said it was unconstitutional. $166 billion is being refunded right now.
But here’s the part no one is talking about.
The refunds are going to the importers. Not to you. Not to the families who paid $1,751 more on groceries, on clothes, on car parts, on everything.
330,000 corporations are getting checks. 53 million shipments are being refunded with interest. You paid the tax. They’re getting the money. Trump said he’d “fight” giving any of it back to families.
His own words.
Newsom is right. Pay the people. $1,751 per household. Every dollar.
What’s the point of a court ruling something illegal if the people who actually paid never get their money back?
When my dad passed away, our family was presented with an American flag by a messenger as a gift from President Bill Clinton. The message simply read, “From the President of the United States.” A Marine, resplendent in full dress uniform, carefully folded the flag and it was presented it to my brother.
