Jeff Bezos has one of the most successful angel portfolios ever, despite having no free time.
Bill Gurley asked him how he does it.
Jeff's response ... "When I meet an entrepreneur, there is only one thing I ask myself .. is this person going to do this no matter what."

Last week, @chausean and I had the opportunity to join @PalantirTech for AIPCon 10.
I run @ShopMixology with my sister Gabrielle Edwards, our family’s women’s fashion business, using Palantir Foundry. I am not an engineer, yet I build in the platform myself. This approach embodies what I call the Forward Deployed CEO. The operator closest to the problem engages with the platform, builds the necessary software and agentic workflows, and amplifies that capability across the team.
We were honored to be one of 11 companies selected to demo our live work to the audience, and one of three featured in the Backstage Pass films that aired during the keynotes with @chadwahl .
Thank you to the entire Palantir team for the incredible company you have built and for welcoming us among the best run companies in the world.
It's different. $PLTR 👇
Model companies are token-maxxing because that's how they make money.
Palantir is outcome-maxxing because that's how it creates value for customers.
Different incentives. Different business models.

“Pointing an LLM at hundreds of disconnected, ungoverned databases gets you a system that hallucinates, is insecure, and unauditable. For something as consequential as our nation’s agricultural data, that is not just useless — it’s dangerous. The Ontology has been the key to delivering AI-enabled technology to every farmer in the country.”
At AIPCon 10, the USDA demonstrates how the Ontology now underpins national food supply security.
Interoperability is where AI hype goes to die.
If your “agent” can’t work across data, logic, actions, security of legacy systems, it’s not transforming the enterprise. It’s just another app asking for an export.
Winners don’t rip and replace. They operate.
Jeff Bezos: "If we ran Amazon the way New York City runs their school system, packages would take 6 weeks to arrive, we would charge you a $100 delivery fee and when the package did finally arrive, it would have the wrong item in it."
. @ssankar has consistently framed AI the right way: not as a story about replacing people, but about amplifying the people closest to the work.
The future belongs to organizations that use AI to make frontline workers more effective, not executives more dramatic.
Too many CEOs are creating fear. We should be creating capability.
